A well-traveled and exemplary restaurant professional, Joseph moved from France to the United States in 1994 with the hope of starting a better life for his children in America. Joseph began his hospitality career in this country as a Maitre D’ at the California Café in 1995, and thanks to his strong work ethic and focused attention to customer service, Joseph was soon working as manager of the Mobil Four-Star rated Brasserie Perrier, sister restaurant to the famed Le Bec Fin in Philadelphia. Later, Joseph opened and managed Georges Perrier’s suburban outpost Le Mas Perrier in Wayne, which, among other accolades, was named Restaurant of the Year in 2001 by Wine Spectator Magazine writer John Mariani.
In 2004 Joseph was recruited back to the California Café chain by its new owner, The Tavistock Group, to help revitalize and renew the culture, food and service. After working on other food and beverage projects with Healthland Hospitality Group for the last few years, Joseph was prepared and excited to return to his fine dining passion. Joseph believes that every guest must be treated as a VIP, and he motivates, teaches and inspires our staff with that philosophy every day.
